Why win rate barely moves
A K/D has a numerator you add to and a denominator that only grows when you die. A win rate has a denominator that grows on everygame, won or lost — you cannot play a match that doesn't count. That is the whole difference, and it is why a few hundred games can shift a K/D noticeably while leaving a win rate almost where it started.
It also means a target only a point or two above your current rate can still take thousands of games, if the rate you expect going forward is close to that target. Drag the second slider and watch the match count move — the gap between the two numbers matters far more than either on its own.
